Now! I am sure you have used METRO many times in your life. In Calcutta and in other cities too. Few weeks back I read a news about hawkers selling various stuffs in Kolkata metro! Surprisingly people were stunned! No one notice hawkers in our everyday life but it was so important that it was a “news” and published in front pages of many newspapers! Well, there are more. Problems with late Metro Rails, misbehavior from metro rail office persons, no more clean platforms, suicide attempts, Metro Rail break down….hmm quite a long list!
So, the question is why Metro rail losing it’s fame? Or what can we do to improve the situation of Metro in Kolkata? Should we raise the ticket price even more? Employ more people to work for Kolkata Metro? Aware people more about cleanliness in Stations?
